Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models work with smartphones. Check for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.
- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive Robot Vacuum Mops vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one go. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or carpet.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and replenished when required. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung in the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual boundary in the application). Mopping capabilities are quite good and include a pair of mop heads that can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station when required. The mops are also filled at the top of the station as they are required.
- Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that extend across baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large margin around obstacles. This could lead to miss-hit spots.
The interface of the app is simple and streamlined. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. You will require a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
- Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris however, it's not able to be able to reach every piece of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to accomplish this. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a lower-cost plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 offers the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
- K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. It also collects dust in a larger dustbin that means you have empty it less frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction when needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas you want to stay clear of and is a great feature.
